Brazos River Camping that’s excellent for boating, water sports, fishing, scouting, large groups or events and just about anything else outdoors! This remote Texas resort sits on 100 acres of land with 1.5 miles of sandy beaches and Brazos River frontage.
Conveniently located 17 miles south of Cleburne, about 50 miles south of Fort Worth and 75 miles from either Dallas or Waco.
Some of the best water in Texas for boarding, surfing and skiing is on the Brazos River and it's directly in front of us!
With miles of navigable river heading toward Lake Whitney, the average depth of the water at Bee Mountain Resort ranges from 10'-20' deep and the channel is nearly 300' wide.
Excellent for aggressive water sports or casual family boating, the Brazos River provides everything you need for endless fun on the water!
Nature and wildlife mixed with fun and relaxation, this is truly a one-of-a-kind gem! Private, spacious and beautiful, we are blessed with 1.5 miles of sandy beaches along the Brazos River and the road coming here dead ends at our front gate.
Our customers are mostly groups of friends and family; many of which have been camping here for years. Some claim to have grown up on the river and, to a great extent, that might be true. Our resort has been a campground since the '70s and is well known to the locals.
These aren't your typical campsites! Think of them like lakefront lots you lease from year to year. You control, and can reasonably improve, them as you would the back yard of your home with creature comforts like patios, barbecue grills, tables, chairs and outdoor lighting. Each campsite is 1/2 acre in size with 100' of Brazos River frontage and beautiful, clean sandy beaches that stretch from one end of the resort to the other.
We are all about friends, family, faith, fellowship and kids! By offering our annual lease customers private membership, they quickly become regulars which supports and strengthens our river community. You will see familiar faces when you come visit and you will likely make new friends along the way. Become a lease member, join our community and have a great time building memories!
From young to old and from beginner to experienced, members have a great time fishing at Bee Mountain Resort.
We have all the seasons here. Deep water during winter for big cat, crappie and striper. Early spring and the sand bass start running. Set trotlines and jugs during summer and fall. Fish close to the bank when the river is running. Fish the deep holes by the rocks, bow fish for gar, catch striper and bass whenever you can.
Bee Mountain Resort sits on the inside of a long sweeping curve in the Brazos River and our land gently slopes toward the water where the campsites are located. The mountain is actually on the other side of the river but many campsites have excellent views.
You will enjoy every season here; with big Texas skies, amazing sunsets and brilliant starlit nights. You sure won't find this in the city!
We welcome pets and a lot of our customers have them. I think dogs like our campground as much as their owners do. The guidelines for bringing dogs are simple. If they are friendly, if they obey your commands and if they don't run wild and loose to explore without you, then pets are very welcome.
We have a few cats too. I can't say how many but the kitten in picture seemed to adjust just fine!
We don't allow hunting and we have plenty of deer to show for it! During the off season, when they aren't nervous, you can get pretty close to them so long as you are quiet and slow.
And it's not just the deer who are friendly, we have wild turkey, rabbit and armadillos that'll come up to your campsite like you're not even there. These are great opportunities to get up close to wildlife and we sure like having them around!
